He is president of the Colorado Society of Plastic Surgeons and member of many Colorado and Metro area medical and surgical organizations. He has served three terms as chairman of the Department of Surgery at the Medical Center of Aurora. Dr. Serota received his B.S. in chemistry from Pennsylvania State University and M.D. from the Medical College of Ohio. He completed his general surgery residency at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Chicago and his plastic surgery residency and fellowship in hand surgery at the University of New Mexico.
