I’ve never been good with matching and mixing colors, and when my husband and I decided to re-paint, we started talking about making a change. The last time we painted the house we just said, “Keep it the same color,” because we knew neither of us would do a good job of finding a new look for our house. This time we decided to get some help, and we were glad that we did!
Kimberley came and spent a lot of time with us, and I knew she was listening well as we described our likes and dislikes. She not only spent time listening, but she spent a lot of time looking carefully at the house so she could find exactly the right colors. We’re extremely happy with the way our house looks and with the colors she helped us select.
She had several suggestions of what combinations might work, and she was careful to make sure that we were happy and liked the colors we picked. Just wanted to leave a long over due rating on Bill Marks and Co. my wife and i were wanting to completly redue our three year old daughters bedroom. Not knowing where to start and the room had the remains of very old wall paper we tried to take off making matter worse bill and company not only painted he room perfectly but also redid the closet, doors etc. They all did a fantastic job.

Bill Marks recently completed my exterior painting project. In addition to the painting, he removed and replaced old wood, and installed wood trim along the bottom of the house -- which vastly improved the appearance. I also had a new garage door which needed special preparation, and Bill and his team easily took care of that. Bill was extremely patient when it came to very minor details, such as replacing the house numbers the way I wanted them. Bill personally returned to my house a number of times to address all of the small things that I wanted done. Bill is professional, polite, and very customer-service oriented. The painters cleaned up extremely well after the job was done. You would never know that a project occurred on the site, except for noticing the beautiful results!

It was a pleasure to work with Bill Marks Painting. They did exactly what they said they would do and even did several tasks which were not addressed in the contract at noadditional cost. My father was a master painter so I am somewhat familure with painting. Bottom line, they did it right. I would recommend this firm to anyone.

Bill and his team did a fantastic job painting the inside of my house, including the ceilings (which could get messy). Each day they left the house was clean and all paint items put away. The detailed estimate was completed in a much more professional way then other painters I invited to my home to give me an estimate.

Bill and his crew have completed two jobs at our home. One job was the entire inside (rooms, bathrooms, hallways, trim, etc.), the other was outside paint. Our home looks beautiful! Bill and his crew are very meticulous, they paid attention to every little detail, they moved all furniture with care, they took care of everything in our home as if it was their own (with great care!), they were very reliable and on time every day, completed the job by the estimated job completion date, cleaned up everything at the end of each day, labeled each leftover paint can so we could store it for future touch-ups, every crew member is very professional and since I don't know a 2nd language (although I wish I did), it was nice to speak English with all crew members. We like to use small business owner businesses for all work on our home (when possible). It is very important to us that the business owner makes him/herself available on the job and doesn't disappear when the job starts. It was such a pleasure working with Bill because he was one of the painter crew members. There were times that Bill had to step out for something (do a bid or get paint), but his crew was so professional and competent that I felt 100% comfortable with everything they did. One thing Bill did that was so important to me is, each day he asked me how things were going and asked if we had any questions or concerns. Unlike our experiences with some other small business owners, Bill never took any of our questions or concerns with sensitivity and he was never defensive. Bill actually really wanted to know if we had any concerns or questions. When we did have a question or concern, Bill addressed it immediately with the professionalism that all business owners should have, but unfortunately, don't. We whole heartedly recommend Bill and his crew for inside and outside paint jobs. He and his crew members are a pleasure to work with and we will use him for all paint jobs we have.

What can we say but what an amazing job you did on our house and sheds! It’s really refreshing to have a contractor on ones property that does the quality of work that you do and with such a professional team. This is the second time we have contracted your services and are extremely pleased. Your crew took care of many details we never noticed. Tom went above & beyond with the carpentry and tin work repairs. Having our home already decorated for the Halloween Season your team removed everything from the house and then placed it all back after completing the job! With the economy as it is lately it was refreshing to get such an excellent paint job for a very fair price. My wife & I would not hesitate to recommend you and your excellent team to anyone.

A truly excellent experience. They did exactly what was contracted to be done. They did it on time and on budget. When I had three changes I wanted, there was no problem. When I needed help with color suggestions, that was no problem as they have a consultant available for just that. Actually, I was sorry to see them go. I kept looking for other painting that needed to be done. When it is time to paint my exterior-they get the job. I will never call another company for a second bid. It is such a pleasure to get more than what you needed.

Painting Our Garage

Bill did an absolutely beautiful job finishing our garage. He arrived exactly when promised, refinished and sanded the surface of the drywall, and then primed and painted. Bill and his men were careful and courteous and did many helpful and thoughtful things that were not specified in the contract -- and then they thoroughly cleaned the entire area before they left. I feel I received more in quality and service than I had bargained for and would unhesitatingly recommend their services to anyone seeking a quality job.
Pros:Even though our job was small compared to painting the complete interior or exterior of a home, Bill promised to treat it with the same care, and he delivered on that promise.

Bill Marks and his crew just completed painting our back porch and fence for us. Even though it was a little job Bill still treated us like we were his most important customers. He was very responsive when we called them up, provided us with a fair price for the work, and his entire crew could not have been more professional with respect to the work they performed. They were honest in answering all of our questions, prompt in their arrival, cleaned up before leaving each day, and did a first rate job of painting. Our back porch and fence look brand new, and we couldn't be happier. It was a pleasure to work with a contractor that understands that taking care of your customers is the best way to grow your business. Bill and Mike have repaired and painted three rooms in our house, in addition to painting all of our baseboard trim and our living room and dining room. We have a few more spaces yet to paint and will definitely give Bill a call when we're ready to continue. They've done a great job so far; the rooms look beautiful. Some of our walls were in need of repair, and Bill did a fine job patching and blending in with the current textures. They have been very professional, prompt, friendly and courteous. Additionally, we appreciate that they are careful to clean up each day and have treated our home with care and respect. And not only have we been pleased with their work, we've felt very comfortable with them in our home. Exterior & Interior House Painting

Bill and crew accomodated us over the Christmas holidays by painting the interior of our home. The work was completed in a very timely way without encountering any issues. Now our home glows from the traditional one paint color "fits all" concept of home builders to a unique complementary set of color themes throughout our home. In July, Bill and crew painted the exterior, again with excellent service. We've had many requests from people driving by (we have a corner home) to know who the painter was. Needless to say, this a probably the strongest recommendation Bill and his crew can receive due to their excellent work.

I hired Bill Marks Painting to paint the exterior of our home and I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. I have the prettiest house on the block now and one of my neighbors told me that I sure set the standard high. Bill was extremely helpful in walking me through all the steps. This included what needed to be repaired or replaced but he quoted this separately so that I would have the choice. His estimate and explanation of the work was thorough and understandable. He communicated with us every step of the way. His employees were extremely nice, helpful and communicative. And the obviously are extremely good house painters too! I had no experience in finding a painter so I wanted to get a 2nd quote. The other painting contractor I found was within a few hundred dollars of the price I paid Bill Marks Painting, but his explanation of what I would get for the money was no where even near what Bill and his crew provided. I cannot say enough about the quality of workmanship, products and process that Bill Marks Painting provides. I am extremely pleased and will definitely use this company again - perhaps for my interior painting needs as well.

Bill Marks and his crew painted the exterior of our home with commendable professionalism. From the estimate phase through final walkthrough, Bill paid attention to details and listened to what we wanted. The cost of the our painting was very reasonable and very competitive with other painters who solicit our neighborhood, and Bill’s work includes items, like detailed caulking that other painters charge extra for. Bill’s wife Kimberly, an artist, offers a 30-minute color consultation, if you have trouble deciding on your color scheme. The consultation is included in the price of the job. We found the consultation to be very beneficial. Kimberly pointed out color tips that we didn’t think of and we developed a scheme that we are very happy with. The workmanship was fantastic, especially the preparation phase: power-washing, caulking, and priming. Our neighbors were amazed at how meticulous the crew did the prep work. The painting was a thorough two-coat job on body and trim. Bill and his crew kept us up to date and continually made sure we were satisfied with how the job was progressing. They were very tidy and cleaned-up daily. When the weather looked like it would rain, Bill stopped painting that day, just to be sure of no rain-impact to the project. At the end, Bill and his crew did not hesitate to address any issues we had, which were very minimal. Bill found some minor touch-ups that we didn’t notice ourselves and fixed those up as well. Overall, we would recommend Bill Marks painting to anyone looking for quality painting on or in their home.

I spent several weeks meeting with 9 different painters and taking bids. Once I narrowed my search, I then personally visited a few references and inspected the work. I found that Bill Marks was in the highest quality category for what I wanted. Then I looked at price. You have to be careful comparing the bids. Some do 1 coat some do 2. Some seal the home with fresh caulk, some don't. Some inspect for rotten wood and place this in the bid, some don't. Some use high quality paint, some don't. The bid from Bill Marks was one of the most thorough and provided for the highest quality of work. It was also VERY helpful for my wife to meet with Bill's wife to pick the right paint colors to match our brick. Bill did an outstanding job communicating with me along the way. His employees were top notch, thorough with their work, did not rush the process and always cleaned up along the way. I can tell you that I have found my painter for many years to come - interior and exterior. After all the painting was done and replacing rotten wood in 3 different areas, the price I paid matched the bid Bill provided.

I would strongly urge anyone who needs painting work done to use Bill Marks Painting. I made an appointment with Bill, he showed up on time and walked the exterior of the house with me, took his time and then gave me a quote on the spot. That was the final price I paid - no hidden costs, no quibbling. His crew came when they said he would, were all courteous, worked hard, finished ahead of schedule and did a great job. When they were done the foreman asked me to walk the house with him to make sure I was satisfied. I can't say enough good things about this company.

I apologize for the delay in sending this letter ‹ I should have sent it last year but I let things slip. I am writing today to commend this company on a terrific job that was done regarding the painting of our house last summer. My wife and I decided it was time to change our house color early last year and we went through the process of finding companies interested in the job. After several different meetings, we decided to use Bill Marks Painting - a decision we are very happy we made. Quality service, great crew and excellent customer care were all things we received from this company. The work was done ahead of schedule and everything we asked for we received. I continually recommend this company to others that are interested in painting and I hope they all end up making the right and best decision to use this company. The reason for taking so long to write? While I promised to get a letter in, my wife and I were just settling in with a new baby when we were having our house painted. Time completely slipped away and I kept reminding myself to send off a letter. Last week, I was at a park with my daughter which borders our house. A woman came up to me and, noticing I came from my house, commented on how nice our house looked with the new paint job - almost a year after this company repainted the house.

Everybody in the fourplex is extremely satisfied with workmanship and the expediency with which you completed the job. They did a great job being very careful to work around everybody's schedules which everybody appreciated and we were all very impressed with the time you took to carefully match the color and integrity of the original buildings. Entire crew were clean and courteous and careful not to damage trees and shrubs and the actual job of painting the homes was done very professionally. Finally we would like to compliment them for continuously staying in touch.

When we selected Bill Marks Painting Company to paint the interior and exterior of our home from Tom Martino’s Referral List, we expected professional and quality painting. The quality of the painting by far exceeded any of our expectations. Our home looks more beautiful now than when it was new. We purchased new windows for the entire house from Pella, which were unfinished wood in the interior. Bil Marks and his team did an excellent job. Professional and very attuned to detail. I have been through about 4 painters in the past and I am very glad to have found one (Bill Marks) that I will now stick with

Great Work on Two Interior Jobs

Bill Marks completed two interior painting jobs for me. I am exceptionally happy with both. The jobs were started quickly, diligently executed and the results were terrific. Kimberly Marks provided a color consultant on one of the jobs. She helped us to select some great accent colors. Bill and Kimberly and their crew were polite, friendly and great to work with. I feel fortunate to have found them and certainly recommend them and their work to others.

Old-fashioned customer service is very important to us old-fashioned people. and after reading so many positive testimonials for Bill Marks on Tom Martino's preferred list, our family decided to hire Bill and his team to paint & wallpaper 3 rooms for us. Not only was the estimate very fair, Bill excels in professionalism, customer service, ability to communicate clearly, team mentoring, He checks frequently to see if we still are on the same page regarding the project. We were delighted to see how carefully and thoroughly he hangs wall paper....one of the few remaining professionals who offer this artistic, difficult skill. And as we all know, home styles change frequently, so wall paper will be back. We also know who to call when family, friends or neighbors ask us who did the excellent work on our home. I thank you for the marvelous job you have done in painting the exterior of our house. I have had lots of work done to our 1920 home. Bill marks and crew are among the very best craftsmen we have encountered. Specifically there attention to detail, there sound advice courtesy and consideration and prompt and thorough execution are especially noteworthy. Painting is an intrusive process. During the week they were here, we did not feel the loss of privacy and level of inconvenience we normally associate with having work done on our house. If they moved something inside in order to open close a window, they put the something back exactly where it had been before.

Just a short note to thank Bill Marks Painting and his crew for the wonderful paint job they did on the exterior of my home. I am also very happy with the minor carpentry repairs and staining of my deck. The quality of the preparation and painting was excellent. I contacted Bill Marks Painting and others through the Martino web site. Bill was quick to respond and I set up times for him and other contractors to meet, review the project, and provide their bids. All were Tom Martino referrals and all were very courteous, but Bill was absolutely the most professional in every way, from our inital discussions, review of the project, detailed bid, recommendations, and project completion. We could not possibly be happier with Bill, his staff, the quality of work and never ending patience. We asked for a color consultation and Kimberly spent all the time we needed, made great recommendations for color choices and came back the night before to mark every wall with the color choice we made for that wall (we used five different colors throughout our three level home). The result is that we know we have an extremely high quality paint job throughout the home that we are proud of and will enjoy for many years.
Pros:Professionalism, courteousnous of the entire staff, meticulous work and patience as they had to work with my wife's business without disrupting it. There were no problems with changes we made after the work started, and the price was very fair.
Cons:Absolutely none! I will readily recommend Bill Marks Painting to anyone.

My home is 16 years old, never been painted or had any maintenence done on it. I am recently divorced, single mother with very limited income. I needed to get the exterior of my home painted so I can sell it at some point. I called several companies for an estimate before finding Tom Martino's referal list. I decided to call one more company on this list "Bill Marks Painting & Drywall" The other companies I called were rude to me and frankly acted like they were doing me a favor by coming over to give me an estimate. I had to wait several days to even set up an appt for an estimate. When I called Bill Marks he came to my home within a couple hours. He was so nice, very genuine and extremely gracious to me. He was sincerely concerned about my wants and needs and assured me what ever it was that I wanted it would be done. As far as price was concerned his price was very close if not less expesive than the others. Needless to say I was deeply grateful! He set up an appt with me to meet his wife, Kimberly to come over to help me with the colors I wanted. She spent 45 mins with me and got me the exact color I wanted. I am so happy with my results on the work they did to my home and have had nothing but compliments and praises on how beautiful my house looks! Dear Kimberly, I must say thank you so much for your professional assistance with the color selection for the exterior paint job being done on our Arvada home. After the last hail storm in 2009, it became apparent that we were going to need the exterior painted and to be honest, the most dreaded part of the whole process to us (well to me, for sure!)was the process of choosing a 3 color combination that would blend nicely with the new shingles color on our roof and the front brick. Researching painting contractors on Tom Martino’s website was easy and made the calling and solicitation of 3 competitive bids and relatively simple thing to do. Bill Marks Painting was the last bid we got and we were both so impressed with Bill and his explanation of the detailed work that would be provided by his company that we both said “He’s the guy!†after Bill left. But the real cincher of the deal was his offer of your services to assist in color selection if we went with his bid. I’ve gotta say Kimberly, he didn’t oversell you, but included it as part of the deal. And for us that was enough! I’ve been through the color selection process many times in my life and it’s a daunting, overwhelming task in my opinion, to search through those massive color decks and try to find “just the right†base color and complimenting accent colors. When you showed up at my door I was so happy to have such a smiling face assuring me that we could do this project quite easily. Then, out came the color decks – Yikes!! So many, many colors but we had already decided we wanted a darker shade of green for the body of the house and lighter trim and accent colors. You went straight to the greens (knew exactly where they were)and helped us decide from there based on your excellent suggestions. Seriously, it turned a dreaded thing into something fun and pleasant. Plus it helps that you are a delight to talk to and we enjoyed every minute of time you spent with us. I just came in from outside and the spraying of the green we chose has begun and the front is nearly covered, it is AWESOME! All the guys here are polite, professional, knowledgeable and clearly know what they are doing. We can’t wait to see the finished job and think it will feel like a whole new house and after 16 years here, we really needed that emotional environmental boost. So, I guess what I’m saying Kimberly (and Bill too) please include us among your references and please feel free to have any prospective clients call us if they would like a firsthand vocal reference for you. And if someone wants to see your work in our area, feel free to tell them to drive by and have a peek at the exterior of our house. You guys are the real deal – the whole package, so to speak and we are grateful to have been lucky enough to have found you!

Exceeded Expectations!

Oops, we received notice from the Homeowner's Assoc that some of our trim paint needed attention! We contacted several
painters to repair/repaint the exterior trim on our home. Everyone bid the job for repainting all the exterior trim per our request. However,
Bill Marks, after submitting the bid for the entire trim, pointed out that we only needed a smaller area of repair and
repainting. His recommendation and observation was that we could do the repair/repaint areas now and then in
several years when the house needed re staining, we would then be able to repaint the entire trim. He was exactly
correct, but we didn't think anyone would be willing to do just that!
Bill Marks then did the smaller job in a timely, and efficient manner. It was finished in half a day. Clean up was great.
As for exceeding expectations, he cleared the gutters and cleaned the upper level windows "while he was up there".
Amazing. No wonder Bill Marks Painting has an A+ rating on Tom Martino's website.
Of course, Bill Mark's Painting will be the first we will call in a few years when the entire house and Trim needs attention!
